And I still giggle like a little kid every time the exhaust starts crackling. I've even figured out the best way to induce it; at ~2k RPM in 3rd gear, drop it down into 2nd and let it engine brake. And if you drive around with the rear glass open it lets all the exhaust noise into the cabin!
You'll have to forgive the crunching, the synchro for 3rd is pretty much nonexistent.

I have a feeling that the noise isn't the only element of the exhaust that it's letting into the cabin :).

It already smells like gas inside so not much difference there.
